About Sleeping Bébés

Andréanne Baribeau
Certified Baby Sleep Consultant
As a parent, I know full well how baby sleep can sometimes feel like an enigma. I remember feeling absolutely exhausted, having to bounce my 3-month old to sleep, only to have her wake up every 30 minutes. Sounds familiar? By working with a sleep consultant, you can regain control of the situation, just like I did back then.
After discovering the life-changing experience of working with a sleep consultant for my daughter, I decided that I wanted to offer the same gift to other parents and caregivers. I completed a certification in Infant Sleep Consulting and worked with certified pediatric sleep consultant Rosalee Lahaie Hera from Sleep Coach School.
I specialize in babies 0-24 months old and use a holistic and evidence-based approach that looks at the wider picture of sleep, including family dynamics, the sleep environment and routines. Equipped with a lot of compassion, empathy and patience, I work with families to find the best solutions that will work for their specific situation.
I offer workshops, fully customized sleep plans and tailored support, combined with practical resources and useful handouts to empower you and help you achieve more restful nights for you little one and the whole family. I've helped multiple families overcome sleep challenges and I'm looking forward to working with you!
My Philosophy
My approach as a baby sleep consultant is to work with babies and caregivers’ comfort level in order to craft sleep solutions that the whole family will be comfortable implementing. I believe babies have enormous potential for learning new skills and implementing new routines, which is why sleep coaching is highly effective at this age. There is a wide array of adjustments that can be made to a baby’s sleep environment and daily routines that have a profound impact on how they will sleep, and guiding you through the implementation of these adjustments is a big part of my work as a sleep coach.
Another aspect of my work is helping you teach your baby independent sleep skills. What does that look like? Ultimately, the idea is for your baby to learn that it’s ok to be placed in their crib awake and fall asleep peacefully on their own, reducing their dependency on a caregiver to *make* them fall asleep.
This is a vital step in reducing nighttime wakings and lengthening naps, therefore providing longer consolidated sleep for your baby, which is extremely important for their healthy development. There is a wide array of techniques for teaching independent sleep skills, and I will work with your comfort level and your little one’s temperament and developmental stage to ensure we use the best suited approach that’s right for your family.
I will share with you important evidence-based knowledge about baby sleep and will provide you with useful and easily digestible resources that will continue to help your family even once our work together is done. I really see sleep coaching as a long-term investment in your baby’s health (and yours as well). Ultimately, my goal is to provide you and your baby with a healthy sleep foundation that will stay with you for the rest of your lives.
